Amir Receives Phone Call From Prime Minister Of Iraq

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq HE Mohammed Shia Al Sudani.

At the beginning of the call, HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, praying to God that it returns to the two brotherly countries and peoples with goodness and blessings.

Both sides stressed the importance of de-escalation and prioritizing diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability in the region.

In this context, HH the Amir reiterated the State of Qatar’s condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the region, stressing that they constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law.

HH the Amir also stressed the necessity of immediately halting these attacks, refraining from using the territories of any country to threaten neighboring countries, and the importance of taking the necessary measures to prevent any hostile acts originating from its territories to preserve the security of the region and prevent further escalation.
