CoinWorld News reports that SlowMist founder Yu Xian posted on the X platform stating that Coinbase has taken down the page that required users to enter their plaintext seed phrases. He pointed out that the security model of online web pages for wallets is very weak, far below that of extensions and apps; collecting plaintext seed phrases through online web pages is easily mimicked by phishing websites, and it has long been a common method used in phishing attacks.
