Intense explosions were reported around 8 p.m. Thursday in Tehran, Iran’s capital. According to Xinhua reporters, a loud explosion was heard in the eastern part of the city, with fighter jets roaring overhead and dense air defense fire intercepting incoming objects.

U.S. President Donald Trump spoke during a cabinet meeting, claiming that until an agreement to end the conflict with Iran is reached, the United States will “continue to beat them to a pulp,” and stating that Tehran is “powerless” to stop it. He reiterated that the Iranian Navy has been destroyed and warned ships to be cautious of Houthi threats in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Meanwhile, Houthi leaders in Yemen announced that they are prepared to take military action if necessary as the situation develops.

Iranian sources reported that armed forces launched a new round of missile attacks against Israel that day, with Israel not responding at this time.
