On March 26, the Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operations Center officially opened in the Xinzhuang Industrial Zone, Minhang, Shanghai. The center innovatively adopts a “dual warehouse linkage” model, coordinating bonded and non-bonded warehouses, and is a pioneer in the industry for fully integrating order fulfillment and distribution within a highly automated system.

It is reported that the Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operations Center is one of the group’s most automated omnichannel fulfillment centers worldwide. Its launch further strengthens the group’s long-term commitment to “In China, for China,” enhancing speed, agility, and operational efficiency to better serve Chinese consumers.

Estée Lauder Group established its first logistics center in Shanghai in 2006, with multiple expansions and upgrades between 2016 and 2021. The newly unveiled Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operations Center is a key gateway for the group’s products entering the Chinese market. Along with the Guangzhou warehouse, launched in 2023 and dedicated to online order fulfillment, and the Wuhan warehouse, planned for 2024 and focused on omnichannel order fulfillment, it forms a distributed fulfillment network centered in Shanghai, linking multiple regional warehouses to serve the entire country.

The Estée Lauder China Supply Chain Intelligent Operations Center was built by Shengzhuang Industrial Zone, with a total construction area of nearly 130,000 square meters. Its automation solutions and daily operations are managed by SF Express, a long-term strategic partner of Estée Lauder Group. The center supports all sales channels, including e-commerce platforms and offline retail, providing integrated logistics services for the group’s entire brand portfolio in China.

The center is equipped with automated stacking systems, multi-layer shuttle cars, pick-to-light systems, and high-speed parcel sorting systems, supporting 24/7 unmanned “dark factory” operations with a peak daily capacity of over 400,000 orders. An AI-powered full-chain management platform from factory to consumer further optimizes omnichannel fulfillment efficiency, helping to increase delivery speed and improve consumer experience. It is expected that next-day delivery coverage will nearly double compared to 2021 levels.
