According to a report by Russia’s TASS on the 26th, Alexander Shokhin, chairman of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with business leaders, expressed hope that the Middle East conflict would end within the next few weeks.

Putin clearly stated that the Middle East conflict has brought excess profits to Russia as an energy-exporting country, but this situation will not last long. The Russian Ministry of Finance and related companies should not expect long-term “windfalls.”

Additionally, according to Russia’s Kommersant, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian government hopes the fighting in the Middle East will cease as soon as possible.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. Iran responded with counterattacks targeting Israeli and American military bases in the Middle East. Some regional countries were affected, and the shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route, was severely disrupted. International oil prices fluctuated significantly after a sharp increase.
