Peskov: EU countries have not requested Russia to increase energy supplies

On March 4th local time, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov stated at a routine phone briefing that contacts between France and Germany on nuclear weapons indicate that it is impossible to conduct strategic stability talks with the United States alone. Peskov also said that Slovakia and Hungary, as buyers of Russian oil, are facing threats from Ukraine. He mentioned that Russian President Putin will meet with Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó at the Kremlin today. The two will discuss the oil supply affected by Ukraine’s interruption, which Ukraine explains as damage to the “Friendship” oil pipeline. Peskov stated that amid the worsening situation in the Middle East, EU countries have not requested Russia to increase energy supplies. (CCTV News)
