Guangdong: Deeply promote major scientific and technological projects such as "Guangdong Strong Chips," "Brilliant Action," and core software research and development.
People’s Financial News, March 26 — The General Office of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and the Guangdong Provincial Government Office issued the “Guangdong Province Action Plan for Promoting the Coordinated Development of Manufacturing and Service Industries by 2026.” The plan emphasizes strengthening technological innovation leadership. It focuses on tackling key core technologies based on manufacturing industry needs, accelerating the reform of “use first, then transfer” for scientific and technological achievements, launching a “use first, then transfer” service platform, and hosting a series of technology achievement matchmaking events to promote the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological results.
In key areas such as artificial intelligence, intelligent robots, integrated circuits, industrial mother machines, high-end instruments, basic software, advanced materials, biological manufacturing, and biomedicine, the plan aims to build proof-of-concept centers and pilot verification platforms. It will deepen major technological projects like “Guangdong Strong Chips,” “Brilliant Action,” and core software breakthroughs, addressing technical gaps in industrial basic software, core electronic components, and supporting electronic materials.
By the end of 2026, the goal is to add 60 provincial-level or higher enterprise technology centers, recommend and cultivate no less than 30 national-level science and technology enterprise incubators, and recruit an additional 1,500 technical managers.
