Techub News reports that, according to CoinDesk, Jon Herrick, Chief Product Officer of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), stated that the NYSE is working to integrate blockchain technology into existing market infrastructure rather than replace traditional systems. Herrick emphasized that the exchange is focused on interoperability and tokenization applications, such as real-time or near-real-time settlement and extended trading hours. While highlighting the benefits of regulation, centralized clearing, and investor protection, Herrick predicts that in the next ten years, the distinction between traditional assets and tokenized assets may largely disappear.
