Hexun Investment Advisor Wang Yan: Buy When No One Is Paying Attention?

Abstract generation in progress

No one is paying attention, which means the market is extremely pessimistic, or rather, most people have fallen into a pessimistic mood, and no one dares to take action. The Shanghai Composite Index is currently above 3,800 points, but look at other indices—the Hang Seng International Index has dropped to its lowest point since June of last year, and the Hang Seng Technology Index is at its lowest since April of last year. If we convert this to a benchmark, it is equivalent to around 3,400 points for the Shanghai Composite Index. What is seen on the surface is 3,800 points, but in reality, it is close to a low not seen in nearly a year, which is exactly where the opportunity lies.

Previously, I wrote that the current market is picking up passengers in reverse, do I still hold this view? Yes, I still maintain it. There should be a rebound on Friday; the rebound is not over. In fact, the adjustment on Thursday was more about the funds’ worries regarding the possible outcomes of Friday’s events, but I believe the situation won’t get worse; the current market represents the low point for the entire year of 2026.
