Belarus and North Korea sign a treaty of friendly cooperation
On March 26, People’s Financial News reported that Belarusian President Lukashenko signed a treaty of friendly cooperation with Kim Jong-un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, in Pyongyang. Lukashenko stated that this foundational document outlines the goals and principles of cooperation between the two sides and establishes the institutional framework for future mutually beneficial processes. During talks with Kim Jong-un, Lukashenko indicated that the relationship between Belarus and North Korea has entered a new stage.
