Yesterday, the CME Group saw an increase in gold and silver trading volume, while open interest decreased. Copper trading volume decreased, and open interest also fell. The trading volume for gold futures was 399,495 contracts, an increase of 41,323 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 391,339 contracts, a decrease of 14,665 contracts from the previous trading day. The trading volume for silver futures was 67,431 contracts, an increase of 15,055 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 113,498 contracts, a decrease of 531 contracts from the previous trading day. The trading volume for copper futures was 57,697 contracts, a decrease of 5,078 contracts from the previous trading day. Open interest was 223,643 contracts, a decrease of 102 contracts from the previous trading day.
