Abstract generation in progress

Lake County has reallocated $360,000 in tax incentives originally set for Kroger to assist laid-off employees after the grocery giant’s departure. This funding will now go to CareerSource to provide training and tuition assistance for workers affected by the closure of the Groveland distribution center. Meanwhile, crews are stripping decals off unused Kroger vans, and the county is working to market the now-vacant commerce park to new businesses.
