The three major U.S. stock indexes closed lower, with the Nasdaq down 2.15%, a cumulative drop of 3.23% for the week; the S&P 500 index fell 1.67%, with a cumulative decline of 2.12% for the week, marking its fifth consecutive week of decline, the longest losing streak since 2022; the Dow Jones dropped 1.72%, with a cumulative decline of 0.9% for the week. Tech stocks fell broadly, with Meta and Amazon down nearly 4%, and Tesla, Qualcomm, Broadcom, Google, Microsoft, Intel, and NVIDIA falling over 2%.

The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed down 1.90%. Among popular Chinese concept stocks, WeRide fell 8.97%, Pony.ai dropped 5.97%, Kingsoft Cloud fell 5.63%, BYD ADR dropped 5.42%, NIO fell 4.5%, XPeng, Global Data, Trip.com, Atour, and CenturyLink fell by up to 3.86%, New Oriental dropped 2.31%, Alibaba fell 2.17%, while ZTO Express closed up 0.17%, Xiaomi Group ADR rose 0.43%, and Zai Lab increased by 2.80%.
