Our country has steadily entered the ranks of middle- and low-prevalence countries for tuberculosis.

On March 26, reporters learned from a press conference held by the National Disease Control Bureau that China has steadily entered the ranks of countries with a low to moderate prevalence of tuberculosis. Since 2012, the incidence and mortality rates of tuberculosis have both decreased by about 30%, and the success rate of treatment has remained above 90%. By the end of 2025, the screening rate for drug-resistant tuberculosis patients is expected to reach 91%, higher than the global average. (Xinhua News Agency)
