On March 11, the iPhone 17e and MacBook Neo officially went on sale. The prices of these two products break Apple’s previous price ceiling, with post-subsidy prices both below 4000 yuan.

The official price of the MacBook Neo is 4599 yuan, and after the subsidy, it effectively receives an additional 15% discount, bringing the price down to only 3909 yuan.

In terms of appearance, the Neo laptop features an aluminum metal body and comes in four vibrant colors: silver, peach pink, citrus yellow, and indigo blue. It is equipped with a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, making it one of Apple’s most compact laptops to date.

Another significant change is that the Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip, the same as the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max—this marks Apple’s first use of a smartphone processor in a Mac computer.

Data from the JD platform shows that as of the time of writing, over 84,000 people have pre-ordered the MacBook Neo.

The iPhone 17e offers two storage versions: 256GB and 512GB, priced at 4499 yuan and 6499 yuan, respectively. The iPhone 17e is eligible for the national subsidy program, with the starting price reduced to 3999 yuan, making it Apple’s cheapest iPhone model available.

In terms of appearance, the iPhone 17e is available in three colors: pink, black, and white. The overall design of the iPhone 17e (including the 6.1-inch screen size) is similar to last year’s iPhone 16e, retaining the “notch” design and slightly smaller than the 6.3-inch iPhone 17.

Regarding hardware, information from the Apple official website indicates that the iPhone 17e is equipped with the A19 chip, features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, and comes with a 48-megapixel single-camera system, supporting night mode, Smart HDR, and other features. The storage specification starts at 256GB, with the 128GB version eliminated, and it supports a single nano-SIM and eSIM.

On March 11, the topic “Apple’s cheapest phone is here” trended on social media. Some netizens commented, “It’s indeed cheap.” Others remarked, “You might as well spend a little more to buy the standard version.”
