Abstract generation in progress

The National Health Commission held a press conference today to report on the recent analysis of key infectious disease epidemic situations and health risk alerts. Liu Qing, deputy director of the Infectious Disease Control Department of the National Health Commission, introduced that yesterday, China announced the inclusion of Chikungunya fever and Thrombocytopenia syndrome as Class B infectious diseases for management. There are two main considerations for this adjustment: first, to strengthen the prevention and response to the epidemic risk; second, to promote a more scientific and standardized approach to prevention and control work. After Chikungunya fever and Thrombocytopenia syndrome are included in the management of Class B statutory infectious diseases, we will further improve relevant prevention and control policies and measures. First, strengthen monitoring and early warning; second, enhance prevention and control guidance; third, widely promote patriotic health campaigns; fourth, strengthen popular science education.
