Deputy Foreign Ministers of China and the Philippines hold a new round of diplomatic consultations

The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Sun Weidong, co-hosted the 24th China-Philippines diplomatic consultation today in Fujian with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Leo Herrera-Lim, to openly and deeply exchange views on China-Philippines relations and international and regional issues of common concern.

Sun Weidong stated that a stable and healthy China-Philippines relationship is in the fundamental interests of both countries and their peoples. The Chinese side values the Philippine side’s desire for a stable relationship and enhanced dialogue, and hopes the Philippine side will work with the Chinese side to take practical actions to create the necessary conditions and atmosphere for stabilizing and improving bilateral relations.

Leo Herrera-Lim expressed that the Philippine side is willing to continuously advance the diplomatic dialogue process with the Chinese side, enhance mutual understanding and trust, properly manage differences, and promote the stability and improvement of bilateral relations.
