Shanghai State-owned Assets and State-owned Enterprises open 50 agent competition topics, launch the Agent Hackathon challenge and scene solicitation activities
On March 28, the KuPass “Building Foundations with Corpora, Intelligent Era” themed forum was held during the 2026 Global Developer Pioneer Summit (GDPS). At the forum, the Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission launched the State-owned Assets Scenario Open and Industry Application Challenge, the Intelligent Agent Open Themed Hackathon Challenge, and the 2026 AI+ Scenario Collection Activity for State-owned Assets and Enterprises.
The State-owned Assets Scenario Open and Industry Application Challenge is open to the public, featuring 50 scenario competition questions from 8 key municipal state-owned enterprises, tailored for OPC entrepreneurial teams, research institutions, and innovative enterprises as multi-level innovation entities. This initiative aims to accelerate the formation of a closed loop between technology and business, showcasing the open posture of Shanghai’s state-owned assets and enterprises in driving innovation through scenarios, gathering resources through ecosystems, and promoting implementation through cooperation. The Intelligent Agent Open Themed Hackathon Challenge encourages state-owned enterprises to form innovative teams with various market entities, including private enterprises, to engage in competitive collaboration and cross-border cooperation, facilitating industry collaborative innovation. The Shanghai State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the Xuhui District State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission jointly initiated the 2026 AI+ Scenario Collection Activity, targeting a broader range and extent of typical benchmark scenarios from municipal and district enterprises to accelerate scenario implementation through open co-construction.
Currently, Shanghai’s state-owned assets and enterprises are deepening their AI+ actions, linking the application and deepening of AI technology with the reform, development, and transformation of state-owned enterprises, promoting the leap of AI applications from “point breakthroughs” to “system empowerment.” This event, on one hand, drives the empowerment of state-owned assets and enterprises’ transformation and development through artificial intelligence technology based on real enterprise needs, addressing transformation bottlenecks, creating a batch of application cases with competitive advantages and industry leadership, and bridging the “last mile” of scenario implementation. On the other hand, it gathers innovative elements through scenario openness, attracting diverse entities to collaborate with state-owned assets and enterprises’ AI teams, linking resources such as industrial funds, incubation platforms, and innovation bases, and promoting the formation of an innovative ecosystem that connects new technology research and development, excellent result incubation, and industrial investment promotion.
In the future, Shanghai’s state-owned assets and enterprises will take scenario openness as an opportunity, joining forces with various innovative powers to accelerate the engineering and industrialization of common and key technologies through scenario-based experiments, providing OPC entrepreneurial teams with a critical springboard from “technology research and development” to “market validation,” and better exploring paths, establishing mechanisms, and setting benchmarks for the large-scale implementation of artificial intelligence technology in Shanghai.
