People’s Finance and Information, March 28 — A reporter learned on March 28 from Sinopec that my country’s first 100-kilometer carbon dioxide long-distance pipeline—the Victory Oilfield million-ton CCUS carbon dioxide transportation pipeline—has been operating safely and smoothly for 1,000 days. CCUS refers to carbon capture, utilization, and storage technology. The pipeline connects Qilu Petrochemical and the Gaoqing oilfield area of the Victory Oilfield. It is an important part of my country’s first million-ton CCUS full-chain demonstration project—the Victory Oilfield million-ton CCUS project. As of March 28, the project’s total CO2 injection volume has surpassed 1.3 billion cubic meters, driving the sustained development of large-scale carbon emission reductions and green energy development in my country.
