U.S. President Trump briefs the nation on the latest developments in the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. Trump believes the war is nearing its end, saying he expects it to last two to three weeks, and vowing that the coming weeks will feature “extremely severe” strikes.

Trump said the United States is about to end its military actions against Iran. “Tonight, I’m pleased to announce that the core strategic objective is nearly complete.” He proposed either reaching an agreement with Iran within two to three weeks or bombing its infrastructure.

Trump said that in the four weeks since the United States launched “Operation Epic Raging,” the armed forces have achieved rapid, decisive, overwhelming victories on the battlefield—victories that very few people have ever seen.

He said that because of the progress we’ve made, I can announce tonight that we are moving forward as planned, and we will soon complete all of America’s military objectives, and we will hit them hard.

In the next two to three weeks, we will bring them back to the Stone Age they belong to.

He also said that diplomatic efforts will continue, adding that “at the same time, negotiations are still underway.”

If we cannot reach an agreement with Iran, we will strike every single one of their power plants—and very likely at the same time. He said that if no agreement is reached within two to three weeks, the United States will carry out this threat, adding that “we may strike” their oil.

Trump said tonight, Iran’s navy is no more. Their air force lies in ruins. Their leadership—most of whom are terrorists—and the regime they lead are now all collapsed.

As we speak, their command and control over the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being thoroughly destroyed. Their ability to launch missiles and drones has fallen sharply. Their weapons factories and rocket-launch facilities are being blown to pieces. They have almost nothing left.

Trump said the war on Iran has nothing to do with oil. We are now fully independent from the Middle East, but we’re still there to provide help. We don’t have to stay there. We don’t need their oil. We don’t need anything they have. We’re there to help our allies.

Trump said we have completely destroyed those nuclear facilities. After that, the regime tried to rebuild its nuclear program in completely different locations, which clearly shows they have no intention of giving up developing nuclear weapons. He said we are dismantling, in a systematic way, the regime’s ability to pose a threat to the United States or project power abroad.

Trump accused Iran of driving up U.S. gasoline prices. Many Americans are worried about the recent rise in domestic gasoline prices. This short-term increase is entirely the result of the Iranian regime’s frantic terror attacks on commercial oil tankers and on neighboring countries unrelated to the conflict.

He said that, fundamentally, I did the kind of thing that no other president would do. They made mistakes, and I am correcting those mistakes.

If he hadn’t ended the nuclear deal with Iran reached by former President Obama, there wouldn’t have been “the Middle East and Israel.”

“When all of this is over, the United States will be safer, stronger, more prosperous, and greater than ever before”
