20cm Express | The technology mainline rebounds strongly after a dip, with the Sci-Tech Innovation 100 ETF Guotai (588120) surging over 2.4%. The domestic substitution logic in the technology sector remains solid.
The technology-focused main theme rebound from a dip, on April 1, the Cathay CSI STAR 100 ETF (588120) surged by more than 2.4%, and the logic behind domestic substitution in the technology sector remains solid.
According to Changjiang Securities, market attention to the Sci-Tech Innovation Board has been continuously increasing. Among them, the CSI STAR 100 Index focuses on medium- and small-cap companies, and its industry distribution is differentiated and complements the CSI STAR 50. The index carries higher weights in hard-tech fields such as biomedicine, electronics, power equipment and new energy, and computers. These industries generally share characteristics of high R&D investment and high growth potential. Analysts believe these tracks align with the national innovation-driven development strategy, with broad long-term growth space. In terms of industry cycles, industries such as semiconductors and innovative drugs may face cyclical fluctuations in the short term, but the long-term logic of domestic substitution and technological breakthroughs is firm. The power equipment and new energy sector benefits from the global energy-structure transition, and demand is likely to remain steady. Overall, the industries covered by the CSI STAR 100 represent an important direction for the transformation of the economic structure. With both volatility and growth, it is suitable for long-term allocation by investors who focus on industry growth trends.
The Cathay CSI STAR 100 ETF (588120) tracks the CSI STAR 100 Index (000698). The single-day limit on the percentage change is 20%. This index selects 100 securities with relatively larger market capitalization and better liquidity from the Sci-Tech Innovation Board market as index samples. It covers multiple high-tech industries and strategic emerging industries such as next-generation information technology, biopharmaceuticals, and new materials, to reflect the overall performance of related listed companies on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board.
