U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson will push for a full House vote on a “clean, simple continuing resolution” to provide funding for the Department of Homeland Security through May 22.

Johnson told reporters: “I just spoke with the president on the phone. He fully understands what we’re doing, and why, and he has said he supports it.”

He said House Republicans do not agree with the bill passed by the Senate to fund the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
