Over more than 1,600 funds, totaling 53.1 billion yuan in dividends in the first quarter, with bond funds accounting for the majority of dividend distributions.
People’s Finance News, April 2—In the first quarter of 2026, open-ended fund markets once again delivered generous “bonuses” to unit holders. Using the dividend payment date as the statistical reference point, more than 1,600 funds across the market (with shares counted separately; the same applies below) carried out distributions, with a total amount exceeding 53.12 billion yuan. Among them, large-cap broad-based index ETFs and top-performing equity funds were “generous in their moves,” while bond funds occupied an absolute leading position in terms of the number of dividend payouts. Judging by the absolute dividend amounts, the top three on the dividend list are all large-cap broad-based index ETF products. Specifically, the Huatai-PineBridge CSI 300 ETF, the ETF product currently with the largest assets under management in China, ranked first with approximately 9.811 billion yuan in dividends. The East Money CSI 300 ETF and the Southern CSI 500 ETF ranked second and third, with approximately 4.591 billion yuan and 1.161 billion yuan in dividend amounts, respectively. After receiving substantial returns, these large-scale funds all realize return distribution through dividends.
