【Iran Crisis】Trump's speech: Achieve an overwhelming victory, the war is coming to an end. Vows to "crack down extremely severely" and send them back to the Stone Age.
U.S. President Donald Trump informed the nation of the latest developments in the war between the United States and Israel against Iran. In his remarks, Trump said he believes the war is about to end, adding that he expects it to last two to three weeks, and pledging that there will be “extremely harsh” strikes in the coming weeks.
Trump said the United States is about to wrap up its military operations against Iran. “Tonight, I’m pleased to announce that our core strategic objectives are almost complete.” He said that either the United States and Iran will reach an agreement within two to three weeks, or it will bomb their infrastructure.
Trump said that, “Since the four weeks since Operation Epic Rage began,” the armed forces have achieved “a rapid, decisive, overwhelming victory on the battlefield—a victory that very few people have ever seen.”
He said, “Because of the progress we’ve made, tonight I can announce that we are moving forward according to plan, and we’ll be able to complete all of America’s military objectives very soon—we’re going to hit them hard.”
“Over the next two to three weeks, we will bring them back to the Stone Age they belong to.”
He also said that diplomatic efforts will continue, adding that “meanwhile, negotiations are still ongoing,” but that if an agreement cannot be reached with Iran, the United States will strike each and every one of their power plants severely—and very likely at the same time. He said that if no agreement is reached within two to three weeks, the United States will carry out this threat, adding that “we might strike” their oil.
Trump said tonight that Iran’s navy no longer exists. Their air force is in ruins. Their leadership—most of whom are terrorists—and the regime they lead are now overthrown.
“As we speak, their command and control over the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being thoroughly destroyed. Their ability to launch missiles and drones has fallen dramatically. Their weapon factories and rocket launch sites are being blown into pieces. They have little left.”
Trump said the war with Iran has nothing to do with oil, saying, “We are now completely independent of the Middle East, but we are still there to provide help. We don’t have to stay there. We don’t need their oil. We don’t need anything they have. We’re there to help our allies.”
Trump said we have completely destroyed those nuclear facilities. After that, the regime attempted to rebuild its nuclear program at a completely different location, which clearly shows they have no intention of giving up the development of nuclear weapons. He said we are systematically dismantling that regime’s ability to threaten the United States or project power beyond its borders.
Trump blamed Iran for causing U.S. gas prices to skyrocket. Many Americans are worried about the recent rise in domestic gasoline prices. This short-term increase is entirely the result of the Iran regime launching wild terrorist attacks on commercial oil tankers and on neighboring countries not involved in the conflict.
He said that, “In essence, I did something that no other president would do. They made mistakes, and I’m correcting those mistakes.”
“If it weren’t for ending the nuclear deal with Iran that President Obama—our previous president—made, there wouldn’t be ‘the Middle East and Israel.’”
“’When all of this is over, the United States will be safer, stronger, more prosperous, and greater than ever before’”
