卓创资讯:U.S. cotton weekly exports hit a new high, and international cotton futures rose nearly 2%

A cotton export sales report released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Thursday showed that, as of the week ending March 19, 2026, U.S. cotton export volume reached 400,600 bales, setting a new high for this season. This was up 46% from the previous week and 43% above the four-week average, easing market concerns about sluggish U.S. cotton exports. ICE May front-month cotton rose by 1.23 cents per pound, settling at 69.41 cents per pound. In addition, the USDA’s first planting intentions survey report will be released on March 31; the market expects that planted area may decline, which also provided support for cotton prices.
