Single-function microwave ovens are so simple that you might wonder which one to choose. I was the same way. Therefore, I actually compared and tested the top 20 best-selling single-function microwave ovens and will introduce them in ranking order.
The two most important factors when choosing a single-function microwave are "whether it heats evenly in one go" and "whether the operation is easy." Many models are available from manufacturers like Sharp, Toshiba, Panasonic, and others, including flat interior types that are easy to clean and models with sensors, offering plenty of options.
1st place is Sharp's RE-TD184. With 1000W high power and an absolute humidity sensor, it performs excellently in both manual and automatic modes. Its 18L interior is compact, making it ideal for singles. The design is stylish, and it is Hertz-free, so it works nationwide.
2nd place is Toshiba Lifestyle's ER-S10A. With a large 23L capacity suitable for families. It features a 1000W inverter and an eighth infrared sensor for highly accurate automatic heating. The flat interior makes cleaning easy.
3rd place is also Toshiba's ER-NS170A. Despite being an entry-level model, it offers excellent cost performance. It has a dial for intuitive operation and a 17L size perfect for singles. While it doesn't have an automatic mode, manual settings heat well.
4th place is Panasonic's NE-FL222. Its one-touch door opening is very user-friendly. With 22L capacity and high performance in automatic modes. The steam sensor allows for automatic adjustments, which is very convenient.
5th place is also Panasonic's NE-FL1C. Large buttons make it easy to operate, and both manual and automatic functions perform well. Its 22L interior is suitable for family use.
Below, Aqua's AQM-KF20P (6th) features a stylish design; Twinbird's DR-D419W6 (7th) has a large dial for excellent visibility; Comfee's CF-AM202 (8th) is affordable and compact; Sharp's RE-TS171 (9th) has a vertical opening for space efficiency; and Twinbird's DR-E273B (10th) has a flat interior that is easy to clean.
Choosing a single-function microwave oven according to your needs is the right approach. For singles, a small size with simple operation is recommended; for families, a large capacity with advanced automatic modes is ideal.
