On March 27, technology reporter Mark Gurman wrote on March 26 local time that Apple plans to open Siri, its external artificial intelligence assistant, to the public, aiming to strengthen iPhone’s position as an artificial intelligence platform. Insiders said Apple is preparing to make this change as part of a comprehensive Siri upgrade in the upcoming iOS 27 operating system update. Through its partnership with OpenAI, Siri can already connect to ChatGPT, but Apple will now also allow access to other competing products. It is reported that Apple is developing new tools so that AI chatbot apps installed through the App Store can integrate with the Siri assistant. (China Securities Journal)
