1. What is premature ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation refers to a man's inability to control his ejaculation timing during intercourse, usually occurring shortly after penetration or even before penetration begins. It is one of the common sexual dysfunctions in men.
2. The core causes of premature ejaculation

1. Physiological factors

Nervous system abnormalities: Reduced levels of serotonin neurotransmitters that control ejaculation can decrease a man's ability to voluntarily control ejaculation, leading to premature ejaculation.
Genitourinary system diseases: Conditions such as urethritis, prostatitis, and orchitis can all trigger premature ejaculation.

2. Psychological factors

Anxiety, tension, and excessive stress are important triggers for premature ejaculation, including:
- Excessive worry about sexual performance and feelings of inferiority regarding sexual ability;
- Lack of experience and confidence in sexual activity, such as first-time sexual experiences or long periods without sex.

3. Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective

TCM believes that premature ejaculation is mostly caused by kidney yang deficiency, leading to unstable essence.

3. Methods for regulation and improvement of premature ejaculation

1. Lifestyle adjustments

Avoid frequent sexual activity, maintain regular routines, develop good eating and sleeping habits;
Relax the mind, keep a calm emotional state, and boost confidence in sexual activity, which can improve symptoms to some extent.

2. Medication regulation

Mild-effect Chinese patent medicines can be used, such as Tongrentang Suoyang Gujing Wan:

Formulation: Made from 24 Chinese medicinal ingredients including Suoyang, Roucongrong( steamed), Zhibajitian, Bujiaodi( salt-fried), and Tusanqi;
Efficacy: Warms the kidneys and consolidates essence, improving symptoms caused by kidney yang deficiency such as nocturnal emissions, premature ejaculation, and soreness of the waist and knees;
Note: Consult a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner before use, follow the prescribed course, and do not take medication on your own.
