US Stock Movement | Storage Concept Stocks Rise Across the Board Western Digital (WDC.US) Up Over 9%

Zhitong Finance APP learned that on Wednesday, storage-related stocks saw broad gains. Western Digital (WDC.US) rose more than 9%, SanDisk (SNDK.US) rose 8%, Micron Technology (MU.US) rose nearly 7%, and Seagate Technology (STX.US) rose more than 6%.

On the news front, in March this year, the DRAM uptrend that had been going on for nearly a year came to an abrupt halt because memory manufacturers and PC makers signed supply contracts in advance and locked in short-term prices. However, industry experts believe that DRAM prices will continue to rise in the second quarter this year. According to media reports, Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, the two largest global DRAM manufacturers, have recently informed customers that they plan to raise DRAM prices significantly in the second quarter.
