Recently, the number of friend apps has been increasing, but honestly, it's hard to decide which one to choose. There are quite a few apps specifically designed for pure friendship building rather than dating, especially those that focus on finding friends of the same gender, which seem to be popular.

Many of these apps are women-only, like Favomatch, which specializes in finding friends for supporting favorite hobbies, and Touch, which emphasizes safety with 24-hour monitoring. DotMatch is also focused on making friends among women, and it features a timeline function that allows interaction similar to social media. Somli is aimed at users over 30, serving as a platform for mature adults to connect through friendship apps.

For men, options are more limited, but Bumble, which originated in the U.S., has a "BFF Mode" that allows you to find friends of the opposite sex, and it’s relatively affordable. Tinder also supports making friends, and since it has users worldwide, it can be used to meet new people in new places.

From a safety perspective, having 24-hour monitoring is quite important, and the strictness of identity verification varies. Additionally, the range of free features differs significantly between apps, so choosing one that matches your purpose is key. I realized that selecting a friend app is more complicated than I initially thought.
