Which post-payment app are you actually using? I’ve tried various options recently, and honestly, there are quite significant differences.
Paidy is still the best because it’s fee-free and can be used immediately. Bank account transfers have no fees regardless of the amount, and installment payments are free up to 12 installments. I find it quite useful for shopping on Amazon and similar sites. The only downside is the 390 yen fee for convenience store payments.
GMO’s アトカラ is also pretty good. It also has no fees for bank account transfers and allows usage up to 55,000 yen on the first try. Installments are free up to 6 payments. However, since there’s no notification for the payment deadline, you need to manage it yourself to avoid missing payments.
Familipay’s ファミペイ翌月払い offers 1.00% points cashback for FamilyMart users and has no fees for up to 2 installments. It’s accepted at many stores, making it quite convenient as a post-payment option.
NP後払い is attractive because it’s fee-free and available at around 200,000 stores, but the downside is that it doesn’t support installment payments at all. It’s only for lump-sum payments, so it’s not suitable for high-value purchases.
In conclusion, choosing a post-payment app depends on fees, installment flexibility, and notification features. Many people have multiple apps to suit their shopping patterns.
