Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 31 (Reporter Feng Xinran, Wen Xin): At a regular press conference on March 31, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Mao Ning said that, after coordination with relevant parties, recently three Chinese vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz, and we would like to thank the assistance provided by the relevant parties. The Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters are an important international passageway for cargo and energy trade. The Chinese side calls for an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities, and for the restoration of peace and stability in the Gulf region.
