Completing the Hong Kong card process and then leaving without doing anything is a waste of effort because there are four pitfalls that must be addressed on the spot:

1. Quickly set up fingerprint or facial recognition. Log in to the security code; don’t be lazy and skip it, or transfers won’t go through.
2. Have the counter manager help you activate your investment account smoothly; otherwise, if you want to trade stocks later, you'll have to come back again.
3. Remember to link your accounts properly; otherwise, you'll have to manually exchange currency when using the card, which is exhausting.
4. If you want to buy US stocks, don’t forget to submit the W8 form; otherwise, you'll have to queue up again to submit it later.
Be sure to avoid these pitfalls in advance.
