🔥OpenClaw v2026.4.5 introduces a "Dreaming" memory system, which shares many similarities with the leaked source code of Claude Code.


The open-source AI assistant platform OpenClaw released version 2026.4.5, featuring approximately 40 new functions and hundreds of fixes, contributed by over 60 developers. This is the first major update after Anthropic banned OpenClaw subscription access.
The most notable new feature is the experimental "Dreaming" memory system, which divides background memory integration into three collaborative stages: light sleep filters short-term memory, deep sleep handles persistent writing, and REM stage discovers associations and extracts lasting insights.
