Data released by the World Stainless Steel Association shows that in 2025, global production of stainless steel crude steel was 64.2 million tons, up 2.1% year over year. In 2025, Asia’s stainless steel crude steel production was 55.3 million tons, up 2.7% year over year; the European Union’s stainless steel crude steel production was 5.70 million tons, down 1.9% year over year; the United States’ stainless steel crude steel production was 2.1M tons, up 7.6% year over year; and stainless steel crude steel production in other countries was 1.1M tons, down 11.3% year over year.
