This pop-up reminder appears in Pi App Studio Beta. Here's a brief overview for everyone.
The feature shown in the picture is designed to unlock Pi SDK integration for already created custom applications. Once integrated, it will support mainnet conversion(Mainnet conversion) and real Pi payment functionality, turning your app from a testing phase into a practical application that can actually send and receive Pi.
The timeline is as follows:
January 2026: Pi officially released the developer SDK and App Studio payment integration update, making it easier for new apps to connect to Pi payments.
Around March 26, 2026: The "Add Pi SDK" feature for existing custom applications officially launched. As of (April 6), pop-up reminders are being fully pushed out, and everyone can start integrating.
Next: After the protocol 23.0 upgrade around May 18, the smart contracts and DeFi infrastructure will be further improved. These integrated apps will be better able to implement actual functionalities.
Some of the chaotic ecosystems previously created by Pioneer are valuable or algorithm-default. Once you see this pop-up and complete the integration, you can unlock mainnet conversion and Pi payment features. In the future, applications will be able to truly send and receive Pi, no longer just a test toy that can only be viewed but not used. $PI
