On March 31, Hisense Visual Display released its “2025 Sustainability Report.” The report shows that Hisense Visual Display has deeply integrated ESG concepts into the company’s development strategy, using a dual-engine approach driven by carbon reduction through technology and end-to-end value chain collaboration, to comprehensively advance the green and low-carbon transition. In 2025, the company’s progress toward carbon neutrality has been notably effective: compared with the 2023 baseline year, greenhouse gas emissions intensity decreased by 31.37%, greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 19.27%, the proportion of green electricity used in its own operations increased to 34.5%, and it has taken a solid step toward achieving its own-operations carbon neutrality goal by 2050.

Green technology: ESG concepts integrated across the full product lifecycle

Hisense Visual Display systematically integrates green and low-carbon concepts into full lifecycle product management, building a comprehensive, end-to-end, all-around green control system covering green design, green procurement, green production, green logistics, and green recycling.

With the trend toward larger TV screens accelerating, the contradiction between picture quality, energy consumption, and eye protection has become increasingly prominent. Hisense’s independently developed new RGB-Mini LED product, by adopting the world’s first “Linglong 4-chip” true-color backlight technology, delivers an industry-leading 110% BT.2020 color gamut and 134bits of ultra-high color control precision, bringing images closest to natural original colors into the living room. At the same time, by using its own high-efficiency RGB light-emitting chips and inorganic crystal materials, the RGB-Mini LED reduces harmful blue light by approximately 75%, and also reduces energy losses at the source. Compared with traditional QD-Mini LED, the power consumption of the entire set decreases by 30%, driving comprehensive progress in LCD display technology toward ultimate picture quality, visual comfort, and green energy savings.

Hisense has always adhered to the “technology for good” philosophy, embedding humanistic care into the entire product innovation process. The Hisense Big White “Auntie and Best Friend” (bilibili?) machine deeply integrates the Starry Sea AI large model and emotionally expressive voice interaction, enabling companionship to be everywhere through AI-empowered scenarios. The “Elderly Mode” TV focuses on TV-friendly aging design; through a simple interface, large fonts, and convenient operation, it comprehensively improves the user experience for older adults.

Manufacturing lighthouse: AI empowers green upgrading of high-end production

In January 2026, Hisense Visual Display, powered by a dual-engine digital transformation of “user-centered + end-to-end AI smart manufacturing,” was recognized as the world’s first lighthouse factory in the TV industry, winning the “Oscar of Global Manufacturing,” marking that China’s TV manufacturing has reached globally leading levels in efficiency, quality, and flexible production.

By deeply incorporating user needs into the full process of intelligent manufacturing, Hisense Visual Display makes comprehensive use of artificial intelligence, big data, VR, and simulation technologies to deploy 40+4IR advanced use cases, building an end-to-end intelligent closed loop from user needs insights, R&D, production, to delivery. With AI enabling it, the time for users’ voices to be translated into new product feature inputs is shortened by 62%, the software development cycle is shortened by 31%, R&D efficiency increases by 27%, establishing a new industry benchmark driven by user value as the core for industrial transformation.

Green manufacturing is an important support for implementing ESG and achieving the dual-carbon goals. As of 2025, Hisense Visual Display has a total of 7 factories certified under the ISO 14001 environmental management system, 4 national-level green factories, and 2 national-level green supply chain management enterprises. Through a series of measures including improving equipment energy efficiency, intelligent temperature control applications, and cleaner energy utilization, it achieves an improved comprehensive energy-saving rate of 10.73%, a year-on-year decrease of 13.39% in carbon emissions per unit of output value, and exceeds its annual target.

Value co-creation: practicing social responsibility with benevolence and good governance

While achieving business growth, Hisense Visual Display continues to create value for society and empower shared development. Relying on a full-channel intelligent service closed-loop ecosystem built and empowered by AI services, it realizes a 100% user voice response rate and a 98.5% closed-loop rate. According to research data from the China Quality Association, Hisense TV users’ satisfaction has ranked first in the industry for eleven consecutive years.

As a “chain leader” enterprise in the new display industry supply chain, Hisense applies ESG standard requirements to all suppliers, driving coordinated green development across upstream and downstream parts of the industry chain. Meanwhile, the company actively responds to the national “trade-in and upgrading” policy, carrying out old TV recovery campaigns in more than 400 cities nationwide. In 2025 alone, it accumulated the recovery of nearly 500k units, helping to promote the circular utilization of resources.

ESG is the world language for evaluating enterprises; world-class companies must have world-class ESG performance. In 2025, Hisense Visual Display retained its Wind ESG AAA rating, ranking first in the home appliance and electronics consumer industry; it also successfully entered S&P Global’s “Sustainability Yearbook 2026,” becoming a benchmark enterprise for ESG practices in China’s manufacturing sector.
