Chinese new energy vehicles are favored by the five Central Asian countries and Russia. In the first two months of this year, the export of passenger cars through the Horgos port increased by 13.9% year-on-year, reaching a record high.
IT Home March 24 news: According to a report from CCTV News today, in the first two months of this year, the number of vehicles exported through the Horgos Port in Xinjiang reached 54k units, up 13.9% year over year, setting a record high for the same period in history.
According to statistics from the Horgos Customs, among the export vehicle models, new energy vehicles are widely popular in Central Asian countries and regions such as Russia, becoming a hot category for exports.
A person in charge of a local international freight forwarding company said that from January to February this year, the company exported more than 900 vehicles, has obtained authorizations from multiple domestic vehicle manufacturers, and has added several overseas service stations abroad.
IT Home learned from CCTV that, to cope with the continued growth in demand for vehicle exports, Horgos Customs has implemented 24-hour cargo clearance, optimized clearance procedures, strengthened international cooperation between border customs, and shortened dwell times across the entire chain of processes, such as pickup at the port, electronic declaration, and pickup by the foreign side.
At the same time, the customs authorities are actively promoting the “fast clearance model for self-driven export vehicles” and guiding companies to export vehicles through multiple ways, such as the China-Europe freight trains and transport by cages, so as to provide enterprises with various clearance options and ensure efficient exports of domestically produced vehicles.
