Galaxy Securities: Civil aviation travel volume continues to grow in March; the feature of staying strong in the off-season is expected to carry over to the April policy incremental milestone.

Gelonghui April 6|A report from Galaxy Securities says, according to Flight Butler, that in March, China’s domestic civil aviation passenger traffic increased by +12% year over year. Of that, passenger volume on business routes grew by +8.3% year over year. It expects that growth in overall civil aviation travel demand will still be mainly driven by leisure travel. Considering that pilot provinces for April have begun implementing the spring holiday, it is expected that overall travel data may continue to maintain strong and rapid growth. Using data from Trip.com and Civil Aviation Butler, as of April 1–6, domestic flight route bookings increased by +9% year over year. During the May Day holiday, domestic flight route bookings increased by +13% year over year. On the pricing side, during the Qingming holiday, the naked ticket price increased by +16% year over year.
