Logistics AI: Three Scenarios That Can Drive Change

Abstract generation in progress

In the past two years, I’ve been looking for an answer: Is there anything in logistics that can’t be done without AI, and where AI can bring about huge changes?

Because I’m not satisfied with things like letting AI automatically capture orders, handle customer complaint calls, schedule dispatch plans, or produce statistical reports—things people could already do, and where AI just helps do them a bit better.

Logistics is a service industry with an enormous scale, scattered across every corner of the physical world, where all kinds of situations—big and small—happen every second, requiring dynamic communication between people at all times, and relying heavily on intensive labor. I firmly believe that in this type of service industry, AI can do many things that were impossible before, and it can fundamentally change logistics.
