Weekly Report on Price Changes in Major Chinese Commodities Markets

The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing’s market price survey of 50 key bulk commodities across the country shows that, compared with the previous period, this period’s prices (from March 30 to April 3, 2026) saw 30 commodities (accounting for 60%) increase, 16 commodities (accounting for 32%) decline, and 4 commodities (accounting for 8%) remain unchanged. By industry, the absolute prices of nonferrous metals, chemicals, energy, and mineral bulk commodities increased by 2.7%, 1.2%, 0.6%, and 0.1% respectively month over month; the absolute prices of agricultural products and ferrous bulk commodities decreased by 0.9% and 0.02% respectively month over month. By product type, the top three gainers were lithium carbonate, para-xylene, and refined tin, which rose by 6.1%, 5.7%, and 5.3% respectively month over month; the top three decliners were polyvinyl chloride, soybeans, and soybean meal, which fell by 6.5%, 6.1%, and 3.2% respectively month over month.
