A vulnerability in the surveillance system led to over 300 people being taken away? Hikvision responds: Fake
People’s Finance News, April 7—A rumor about Hikvision quickly spread on social media platforms. A photo allegedly circulating online shows that Hikvision’s surveillance system has a vulnerability, and that more than 300 people at the headquarters were taken away for investigation. In response to this rumor, a reporter called Hikvision in the capacity of an investor. The person who answered the call clearly stated that the rumor is false; the company does not have the situation mentioned above, and emphasized “don’t believe rumors and don’t spread rumors.” Based on the staff member’s personal understanding, the company currently has no related business in Iran.
