"Hydrogen Energy Industry Chain Core Material Industrialization R&D Platform" launched to create an innovation hub for the hydrogen energy industry

On March 31, the “National Hydrogen Energy Industry Chain Safety Capability Construction—Pilot Testing and Verification for Core Materials and Equipment, and a Platform for Industrialization Breakthroughs,” led by the Guangzhou Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry Innovation Consortium, started construction in Guangzhou. This industrial breakthrough platform will focus on core materials and key equipment across the hydrogen energy industry chain, and will build an integrated capability center that brings together “pilot testing and verification, testing and certification, technical breakthroughs, and industrial incubation.” It will connect the “last mile” from laboratory R&D to industrialized applications, accelerating the formation of a hydrogen energy equipment manufacturing system with independent intellectual property rights. In the future, the consortium will rely on the breakthrough platform to fully drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement across the entire industry chain, ensuring that by 2028 the total market lifecycle cost of hydrogen-powered heavy trucks is achieved.
