Pakistan proposes a ceasefire between the United States and Iran for two weeks, and Bitcoin's price rises.

In a post on X, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged all "warring parties" to commit to a two-week ceasefire to allow diplomacy to achieve a definitive end to the war that serves long-term peace and stability in the region.

This came as efforts to reach a peaceful settlement of the war are progressing "steadily, strongly, and effectively," with the possibility of tangible results in the near future. As part of the US-Iran ceasefire proposal, Pakistan also requested Trump to extend the ceasefire deadline by two weeks.

Pakistan also asked Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks as a gesture of goodwill. This proposal comes just hours after Trump stated he might extend the deadline if negotiations make progress.

Bitcoin's price surged sharply following Pakistan's proposal for a ceasefire between the United States and Iran. The leading digital currency is currently trading at around $69,500, up nearly 1% today, according to TradingView data. Bitcoin's price had previously fallen below $68,000 earlier today amid fears of escalation after Trump's deadline expired. 📈🚀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
