The State Council rolls out new rules for industrial and supply chain security

China Government Network reported on April 7 that State Council Premier Li Qiang recently signed a State Council Order to issue the Regulations of the State Council on the Security of Industrial Chains and Supply Chains (hereinafter referred to as the Regulations), which take effect as of the date of promulgation. The Regulations are intended to prevent risks to the security of industrial chains and supply chains, enhance the resilience and security level of industrial chains and supply chains, and safeguard economic and social stability and national security. The Regulations contain 18 articles, mainly outlining principles for the security work of industrial chains and supply chains, establishing and improving institutional and other measures for such security, and stipulating countermeasures and extraterritorial application, among other content.
