Suddenly, I think maybe if my husband gets beaten up, everything will be simpler🤣


Our company is holding awards and recognitions. Last year, the veteran colleague who ranked first in work performance was blacklisted by the top leaders due to a past scandal and was disqualified from the selection. But the veteran is very dissatisfied.
My husband, as a middle manager, can't directly oppose the senior leaders' decisions, and he also has to prevent the veteran from causing trouble (plus, he’s retiring in a year and worries he might ignore the situation). Moreover, the veteran was recently evaluated by my husband, and they argued. Now, the veteran is holding a grudge and accusing him of intentionally causing trouble, which has made him so stressed that he's pulled out several handfuls of hair.
We were sitting by the roadside thinking for a long time. I said: Only if he gets beaten up, we call the police, and then I’ll also go to your workplace with our son to cause a scene—that would make things simple.
