Just realized how wild the income gap is across America when it comes to supporting a family. Looked up what the minimum annual income needed by a family to survive comfortably in each state, and honestly, it's shocking how different things are depending on where you live.

Turns out more than half the country requires a six-figure salary to raise a family of four. We're talking 26 states where you need at least $100k just to cover necessities, discretionary spending, and savings. But here's where it gets crazy—Hawaii needs nearly $259k annually while West Virginia is around $82k. That's a 3x difference just based on location.

The biggest expense killer everywhere is housing, obviously. Places like California, Massachusetts, and New York are absolutely brutal if you're trying to build a family life there. The minimum annual income needed by a family to survive in these states is just on another level. Makes you wonder how people actually manage it, or if they're just perpetually stretched thin.
