Ask AI · How can the OPC model solve the problem of slow creative-to-conversion in the jewelry industry?

Seizing the wave of “one-person companies” (OPC), Shenzhen is accelerating the build-out of a nationwide leading ecosystem for super-individual entrepreneurship. Each district is leveraging its own industrial strengths and rolling out OPC communities in vertical tracks, providing entrepreneurs with precise and professional growth soil.

Since the release of this year’s January “Shenzhen Action Plan for Building an AI OPC Entrepreneurship Ecosystem and Establishing a Leading Hub (2026–2027),” Shenzhen has clarified that by the end of 2027, the total area of OPC communities across the city will exceed 500k square meters, with efforts focused on creating an AI entrepreneurship ecosystem characterized by resource aggregation, clear functions, and industrial clustering.

A reporter’s review found that, in addition to the first batch of 10 key OPC communities under construction—such as “Moliming,” “Angel Hui,” and “Pi Venture Space”—Shenzhen districts are also, based on their own industrial strengths, laying out OPC communities in vertical tracks.

For example, Luohu District has rolled out the domestic first gold and jewelry vertical OPC community, “E+OPC Jewelry Community”; Longgang District is building an “ultra-high-definition OPC community”; Bao’an District has set up the first AI hardware OPC community, “Dagongfang AI Hardware OPC·hub”; and the Qianhai Cooperation Zone is leveraging Shenzhen–Hong Kong collaboration and internationalization advantages to build “Qianhai OPC International Community,” and so on.

Today, Shenzhen has built a diversified set of options for OPC projects. Entrepreneurs can choose the most suitable regional development based on their technical direction, funding needs, and business characteristics, achieving a leap from “super-individual” to “one-person company” on this innovation hotbed.

Luohu: Roll out the first gold and jewelry OPC community

Shenzhen’s ShuiBei is known as “China’s Jewelry Capital.” As the world’s largest jewelry cluster, the ShuiBei area’s annual wholesale value exceeds RMB 120 billion, accounting for 50% of the domestic jewelry market.

On the other side of industrial scale advantages, the gold and jewelry industry faces pain points such as slow creative-to-conversion. Recently, the E+OPC Jewelry Community has landed in ShuiBei. This will be the first OPC community dedicated to the jewelry vertical in China, exploring new paths for the digital and intelligent transformation of the jewelry industry.

The intelligent agent Open Crab, running in parallel for internal testing, is an AI digital butler built specifically for the jewelry B-end vertical industry. Compared with general-purpose agents, Open Crab is tailored to pain points in the jewelry industry, with four core modules including the Crab Head cloud management center and Crab Core edge-end cross-platform collaboration, among other features. It has advantages such as multi-terminal adaptation, data security, and natural-language interaction. It supports end-to-end functions including generating design inspiration for jewelry, automatically organizing orders, real-time analysis of precious-metal market data, intelligent marketing and customer acquisition, and cross-system data synchronization.

Breakthrough with the OPC model, building an innovative ecosystem for the jewelry vertical

E+OPC Jewelry Community lead organizer He Xubin told reporters that the OPC model is not “one person doing everything.” Instead, it centers on individuals, with AI as assistance and the ecosystem as support—enabling practitioners to focus on their core strengths such as design, customer operations, and product selection. By using AI tools to replace repetitive work, and relying on the community to obtain one-stop support for resources, compliance, technology, and more.

In addition, He Xubin provided a detailed interpretation of the “E+OPC Community First-Launch Empowerment Package.” As a gold and jewelry vertical OPC community, E+OPC not only fills a gap in the industry, but also forms differentiated and complementary synergy with the OPC communities already planned in Luohu District. It turns the macro plans for industrial transformation at the city and district levels into micro innovation units that are feasible, demonstrable, and measurable on the front lines of industry.

In the future, E+OPC Jewelry Community will build a hands-on training system centered on “AI + jewelry,” offering multi-dimensional services such as compliance assurance, brand empowerment, and cultural integration, to promote a new entrepreneurial model for the jewelry industry—“one person / small teams + AI.”
