Around 17:00 today, a sudden catenary fault occurred between the Chengde County North Station and the Niuhel iang Station on the Jingha High-Speed Railway, causing the G178 passenger train to make an emergency stop within the section. For the time being, there was no power supply inside the train. As a result, some trains passing through that segment ran late. The railway authorities immediately launched an emergency response plan and worked around the clock to organize rescue and repair. As of 20:52, all passengers of the G178 train have been safely and orderly transferred into the rescue trains and are heading toward Beijing. Due to this, some trains departing from Beijing Chaoyang Station are temporarily suspended, which has caused inconvenience to travelers. The railway authorities sincerely apologize. Travelers who have already purchased tickets for the suspended trains may apply for a free refund within 30 days (including the day in question) from the scheduled departure date shown on the ticket issuing station.
