SIFENG Properties’ student accommodation brand “Domy Student Residence,” located at the full-property project at No. 9 Balfour Road in Whampoa, is set to officially begin accepting rentals starting in the second quarter of this year, with the target of moving in in batches in the third quarter. Each bed is expected to cost a monthly rent of between 9,000 and 18k. The rent includes basic furniture and fittings, wireless internet, and property management fees.

The above student residence is expected to offer approximately 80 beds; of these, more than 80% are planned as single rooms (with an area of about 100 to just over 200 square feet), while the rest are double rooms.

Chen Zhengqiao, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SIFENG Properties, said he was impressed by the outstanding quality of the original property at No. 9 Balfour Road. Through professional space renovation, the aim is to preserve the original spacious feel of a luxury home while optimizing shared areas—such as adding a modern kitchen, study spaces, and social areas—to enhance residents’ interaction experience. And as a mother, she insists on embedding “protection” into every detail—from face-recognition access control to 24-hour security—to ensure that each student can focus on their studies in a respectful and safe environment.
